Prof. Dr Alexey Lukin is a full professor at the Voronezh State Agricultural University (Russia). Head of the Department of Biology and Plant Protection His research focus is mainly on Agrochemistry (the effect of dosed mineral and organic fertilizers on biological activity of soils, the quantity of different kinds of microorganisms and the yield of the crops) and technology of pectin production from sugar beet, sunflower, apples, citrus, research into its physical and chemical characteristics, Pectin marketing in Russia, etc. His Doctoral thesis was on "Agro-Biological principles of modifying yield and quality characteristics of sugar beet in the Central Black-Earth Region. Pectin technology improvement" (specialization - Agro-chemistry, technology of storage and processing of cereals, leguminous plants, groats, fruit and vegetables, grapes). Today, he teaches courses in General Microbiology, Biochemistry and Basics of Agricultural Biotechnology. He also deals with the problem of different fermentation processes during food manufacturing and storage, microbiology of soils. He can make expert conclusion in the field of agroecology.
