Hiromu OKAZAWA Bio-Résumé

Prof. Hiromu Okazawa has a BSc (Agri.) from the Tokyo University of Agriculture, an MSc (Agri.) and a PhD (Agri.) from Hokkaido University, where he studied the development of watershed management with conservation of river water quality (N and P) in small-scale agricultural catchment in Hokkaido, Japan. After he obtained a PhD in 2003, he worked in the Hokkaido University as a research fellow for a year, then he joined the Tokyo University of Agriculture as an assistant professor in 2004. He promoted to an associate professor in 2010, a professor in 2016. Hiromu has been taking part of the the International Society of Environmental and Rural Development (ISERD) since 2010 as a regional vice president (Japan) and a member of Editorial Advisory Board of the International Journal of Environmental and Rural Development (IJERD). In the past few years, he has been working on the series studies of agricultural landscape pattern on nitrogen concentration in river water in small-scale catchment and development and application of hydrochemical models to improve the understanding of coupled biogeochemical cycles (N, P) in river-systems.
