Junaid Alam MEMON Bio-Résumé

Dr. Memon is an Assistant Professor at Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Islamabad, which is top-ranked policy research and graduate level teaching institute in Pakistan. He headed Departments of Environmental Economics and Development Studies. Recently, He had been a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Vincent and Elinor Ostrom Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis, Indiana University Bloomington, the USA. He received doctorate in Regional and Rural Development Planning from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand in 2011. Besides, He had been a medallist during my Master degree in Rural Development. Since 2012, he serves the International Society of Environment and Rural Development (ISERD) Japan as its Regional Vice President. His research interest revolves around the nexus between society, environment and natural resources. He supervises research related to non-market valuation, rural livelihoods and nature conservation, decentralization, natural resources management and poverty issues. He has published his research in reputed international journals. His publications have received very encouraging policy feedback from concerned stakeholders.
