Pandi ZDRULI Bio-Résumé

Pandi Zdruli is Senior Research Scientist and holds the academic title of Prof. Dr. since 2011 after earning his PhD in 1999. He teaches soil science at the Land and Water Resources Management course of IAMB, lectures in various short courses as well has advised at IAMB 12 MS students and co-advised 2 PhDs. He has also lectured in Morocco and Zaragoza in courses organised by CIHEAM Zaragoza, at University of Sassari, Agricultural University of Tirana, the EC Soil Survey Summer School as well at Lanzhou University in China and Sultan Idris Education University in Malaysia. Prof. Zdruli regularly review papers for 24 peer review journals and is editorial board member of other three. Prior to joining the IAMB he was Visiting Scientist with the EC’s Joint Research Centre at Ispra, Italy, Senior Fulbright Research Scholar (five years) at the USDA NRCS in Washington, D.C and head of Pedology Department at the Soil Science Institute in Albania. He has coordinated or participated in various research and cooperation projects funded by different donors. Prof. Zdruli has published 80 papers and technical reports on soil and natural resources management topics and has edited 12 books. He’s member of numerous professional organizations and has provided technical advice to FAO, UNEP, UNCCD, JRC, and EC in topics related to natural resources management and project proposal evaluator for the Horizon2020 Research Programme of the EU as well as for the Research Programme of the Belgium Science Foundation.
