Zoran JOVOVIC Bio-Résumé

Zoran Jovović is a full professor at the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Montenegro in courses Basis of field crop production, Field crops, Herbology and Plant Genetic Resources. Knowledge gained at prestigious institutions in the world (Germany, Netherlands, USA, Sweden, Israel, Italy, Romania, Hungary, Lithuania, etc.), and the experience obtained through many years of scientific research and professional work, Dr. Jovović focused on solving the numerous problems in the field of field crop production where implementation of modern technology and introduction of perspective varieties take leading position. He is engaged in numerous activities for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, such as the development of legislation (laws, secondary legislation), development of national programmes and strategies, implementation of budget lines (Leader of the Programme for the certification of seed material of agricultural plants and Programme for plant genetic resources) and a member of the working group for negotiations between Montenegro and EU for Chapter 11 (Agriculture and Rural development) and Chapter 12 (food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary policy). Prof. Jovović is a member of Accreditation Body of Montenegro, European Association for Potato Research (EAPR), European Cooperative Programme for Plant Genetic Resources (ECPGR), Board of Evaluators Annamalai University (India), Expert Witness Association of Montenegro, etc.
