Vojislav TRKULJA Bio-Résumé

Prof. dr Vojislav Trkulja was born in Banja Luka on April 19, 1968. He finished the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, where he graduated on October 20, 1993 and defended his master's thesis on 1997. His doctoral thesis was carried out at the Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade, which he defended in 2004.  In January 1995 he was appointed for the Assistant at the Faculty of Agriculture in Banja Luka for Phytopathology, and in the 1998 was titled as a Senior Assistant, where he worked until October 1, 2003. From 2000 to 2001, he was engaged on the same subject at the Faculty of Agriculture in East Sarajevo, where he was elected as Assistant Professor in October 2004 and in the title of Associate Professor in July 2009, and a Full Professor in May 2015. He was permanently employed at the Agricultural Institute of Republic of Srpska, Banja Luka on October 1, 1996, where he worked as the Head of Department for Plant Protection, Seed and Biotechnology. On December 21, 2012 he was appointed as Director of Institute. In December 2004, he was elected the first President of the Society of Plant Protection in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the journal "Plant doctor", published by the Society for Plant Protection of Serbia, and member of the Editorial Board of the "Journal of Plant Protection" published in Zagreb, as well as a member of the Editorial Board of the journal "Agriculture and Forestry" published by the Faculty of Biotechnology, University in Podgorica. He is a member of the  "Republic Commission for Plant Protection" at the Ministry of Agriculture of Republic of Srpska, and "Republic Council for Science" at the Ministry of Science and Technology of Republic of Srpska. He is the President of the Council for GMOs, at the Council of Ministers of B&H. He is a member of the expert Panel at the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization. He is a member of the Committee for Biotechnical Sciences of the Department for Natural Sciences,  Mathematics and Technical Sciences of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Republika Srpska. Prof. dr Vojislav Trkulja was a coordinator of 36 scientific research projects, as well as a member of the research team in 20 scientific and professional projects and 3 international scientific research projects. He participated and presented scientific papers at numerous national and international scientific meetings (congresses, symposiums, conferences, advisories). Thus far, he has published 346 scientific and expert papers, four manuals, nine monographs and five books.
