Sinisa BERJAN Bio-Résumé

Sinisa Berjan is vice-rector for science, research and innovation at the University of East Sarajevo and head of Agroeconomy and Rural Development department at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of East Sarajevo. He completed Doctoral school (PhD) in “Agricultural, Environmental and Food Science and Technology” at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bologna (Italy), PhD Curriculum in “International Cooperation and Sustainable Development Policies”. Regional Vice-president of prestigious International Society of Environmental and Rural Development (ISERD) with headquarter in Tokyo-Japan. Member of European Union’s (EU’s) Programme Committee for Food Security, Sustainable Agriculture and Forestry, Marine, Maritime and Inland Water Research, and the Bioeconomy in “HORIZON 2020 - EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation 2014-2020”. Local coordinator of the Central European Exchange Program for University Studies (CEPUS programme) CIII-SK-0405-08-1617-M-98818 for Renewable energy sources, 2015-2017. Published over 120 bibliographic references in the forms of monographs, scientific papers, reviews, etc. Member of Editorial Board and Scientific committee of the International Journal "Agriculture and Forestry", AGROFOR International Journal and „Perm Agrarian Journal“. Coordinator and the Secretary General of the Organizing committee of the annually held International Scientific Agricultural Symposium "AGROSYM". Attended many scientific conferences and trainings (e.g. training on entrepreneurship) abroad (e.g. Norway, Israel, Italy, Albania, etc.). Team member of Enterprise Europe Network in Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Participates in several international (IPA, TEMPUS, FAO/SWG, ERASMUS+) and national projects as coordinator and team member.
