Dieter TRAUTZ Bio-Résumé

Prof. dr Dieter Trautz was born in 1955 in Karlsruhe/Germany. He completed the Faculty of Agriculture at the Christian-Albrecht University, Kiel/Germany in 1983. During the period 1983-1988 he was Research Associate at the Institute for Water Management and Landscape Ecology at Christian Albrecht University, Kiel/Germany and he gain his PhD in 1987. In period 1988 – 1989 he was research Associate, Institute for Tropical Plant Production, Technical University Berlin/Germany. He spent some time at the Arizona State University/Tempe, Cornell University. From 1989-1993 he was engaged as Nature conservation and landscape planning expert at Professional Agricultural Association of Schleswig-Holstein, Kiel/Germany. He is working from 1993 as full Professor for Agroecology and Sustainable Land Use Management at  the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück,/Germany and during the period 1998-2000 he was visiting professor for Agroecology and Sustainable Land Use Management at Kyrgyz Agrarian Academy, Bishkek/ Kyrgyzstan, financed by German Academic Exchance Service (DAAD). Teaching subjects are related to Agroecology, Plant Production, Organic Farming, Precision Farming. Prof. Trautz was involved in many research projects related to plant production and precision farming.
